Over 3,800 persons purchase dwellings by means of government programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ – A number of 3,822 persons have purchased dwellings by means of programme Prima casa (First home), since its launch until present.

According to the Ministry of Finance's (MF) data, the total amount of loans granted by banks for the purchase of over 3,800 dwellings constitutes MDL 1,913 bln, and the sum of active guarantees reached the figure of MDL 956.9 mln.

Out of 3,822 beneficiaries, 2,686 are young families, and 1,136 – unmarried young persons. The average age of applicants is 31.3.

The average value of purchased dwellings is MDL 591.200, and their average area is 60 m2. Out of these, 3,581 are in urban areas, and 241 are in rural areas.

The Government programme First home was launched in March 2018. The beneficiary can be any citizen of Moldova, of 18 – 45 years old, which is officially employed at a state institution or private company in Moldova and has revenues from official sources.
