PM meets leaders of local public authorities from central Moldova district

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today met the leaders of the local public authorities (APL) from the central Hancesti district. In the beginning of the meeting, the PM and all those present at the meeting were greeted by a group of young people who sang carols, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, the APL representatives tackled a string of issues, among which: the lack of a building for the mayoralty of the Lapusna village; need to restore roads in settlements and develop the infrastructure of aqueducts and sewerage system; widening the sales market for farming products, scarce budgets of education institutions, insufficiency of jobs, etc.
The prime minister referred also to the government’s priorities on the period 2020-2023 and mentioned: investments in the road infrastructure; regions’ industrialization and bringing jobs closer to people’s homes; improvement of the living standards all over the country. Also, Ion Chicu confirmed the cabinet’s intention to continue the European integration process.
„We will have dialogue will all partners were Moldova has economic interest. The 2020 year will be the year of massive investments in infrastructure, which represent a decisive step towards the country’s industrialization. With joint efforts, with clearly set priorities, we will manage to change Moldova. We can succeed, if we revive the economy, create jobs, attract investors. We want to enhance our citizens’ trust in Moldova’s future.”
The prime minister said that the government’s team was focused on the settlement of the society’s problems and it is necessary to efficiently cooperate with the local public authorities to this end.
The Hancesti district has 62 villages and a population of more than 120,000 citizens.
