PM visits placement centre for disabled children from central Moldova town

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today visited the temporary placement centre for disabled children from the central Hancesti town, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At a meeting with the centre’s team, Ion Chicu collected facts about the state of things, problems faced by the institution and assessed the conditions in which the beneficiaries of the placement centre spend their time. The PM discussed with the staff employed: nurses, social assistants and teachers, who asked the prime minister to consider possibility to increase the salaries and warned about the insufficiency of personnel.
„I know that there is a little staff and the salaries are not sufficient and you make huge efforts. I am glad that the infrastructure and conditions are acceptable here; children feel safely and are happy. Thank you and you should know that you have my every admiration for the work you carry out,” the prime minister said, noting that he would take into account the issues discussed with the personnel.
In the end, the PM congratulated the staff and beneficiaries of the centre on the forthcoming winter holidays and urged them to enter the New Year with hopes and courage.
The temporary placement centre for children with disabilities from the Hancesti town shelters 256 beneficiaries; 199 employees work at the institution, of whom 108 are nurses.
