Euro appreciates, U.S. dollar cheapens against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ – At the beginning of upcoming week, the cost of European single currency (EUR) increases by MDL 0.05, and U.S. dollar (USD) cheapens by MDL 0.05.

As a result, EUR costs MDL 19.20 for €1, and USD – MDL 17.23 for $1.

According to the official rates of foreign exchange displayed by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), the cost of Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) has a value of MDL 0.72 for ₴1, on Monday, 30 December, by MDL 0.02 less than today. However, the value of Romanian leu (RON) becomes more expensive by MDL 0.01, up to the official price of MDL 04.01 for L1.

The Russian rouble (RUB) preserves its quotation of MDL 0.27 for ₽1, which has remained unchanged for some weeks.
