Moldovan government holds last meeting of 2019 year

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government held a meeting today. The cabinet of ministers considered and took decisions on 45 drafts included on the agenda, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, the prime minister congratulated the colleagues of the government on the winter holidays, thanked for the work carried out and wished them new forces in the upcoming year.
The list of decisions approved by the cabinet today includes: the maintaining in 2020 of the maximum margin applied on the loans borrowed for the First Home; simplifying the mechanisms of calculating the sinking on fiscal purposes, which will lead to the optimization of the expenses borne by business people; increase in the quantum of the average monthly salary on the economy, forecast for 2020, which will amount to almost 8,000 lei.
Among the social drafts approved, there were the increase in the one-off child-birth allowance by almost 400 lei, increase in the number of beneficiaries of social assistance by 2,300 families and additionally, another 3,000 families will receive aid for the cold period of the year. The cabinet also backed a draft on the ratification of the Council of Europe’s Convention on preventing and combating of violence against women and domestic violence.
At the same time, the government ruled to appoint Rostislav Rotari as secretary general at the Defence Ministry, Valeriu Secas – as deputy secretary general of the government and Viorel Iustin – as director general of the State Intellectual Property Agency.
At the end of the meeting, the cabinet members enjoyed Christmas carols and New Year wishes. The groups of carol singers came from the Ion Creanga lyceum and the Medicine and Pharmacy College of Chisinau. The PM thanked them for the good wishes and gave them fancy breads and presents, according to the tradition.
