Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ – The National Agency of Energy Regulation (ANRE) has revised the tariffs for natural gas transportation service provided by Moldovatransgaz. The tariff modification for consumers of Moldova will not lead to the increase of natural gas tariffs of final consumers in Moldova, announced Moldovatransgaz.
The natural gas carrier has specified that the old tariff of MDL 32.32 for 1,000 m3 of gas was established in March 2018, taking into account the volume of total natural gas transported on territory of Moldova in the amount of 19,948.45 mln m3, including for Moldovan consumers – 997.613 mln m3 and transit of 18, 950.84 mln m3. In 2019, the volume of transportation of natural gas on the territory of Moldova in transit has decreased considerably, by 88.9 per cent (in reverse system) and by 93.5 per cent (ordinary system).
The change in the tariff has been also determined by updating of wear size and profitability, taking into account introduction of new long – term material assets and non – material assets in 2018 – 2019.
The new tariffs, approved by ANRE, will be applied provisionally until the entry into force of new Methodology of calculation (MC), approving and applying the regulated tariffs for natural gas transmission service, which will implement a new model for calculating the transport tariffs of gases based upon principle of "inlet – outlet".
The new tariff for system users of Moldova is MDL 251.67 for 1,000 m3 of gas, and for gas transit – MDL 203.30.
