Moldovan government reintegration commission approved priorities for Transnistrian negotiation, settlement process

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu chaired a meeting of the Governmental Reintegration Commission, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
He said “this commission has not been convened for more than a year. The reintegration of the country is priority and please ensure efficient functioning of the sectoral working groups and not allow mimicking processes. "
During the meeting, 4 priorities were approved in the negotiation process and in the process of regulation and promotion of reintegration policies.
The priorities adopted in the negotiation process are freedom of movement in the Security Zone, human rights, the situation with the schools' offices on the left bank of the Dniester and the harmonization of procedures, tariffs and fiscal ones.
In regulating and promoting the reintegration policies, the extension of public services for the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region and the defense of human rights, joint control of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border on the Transnistrian segment (Kuciurgan - Pervomaisc), measures to support trade between sides and export promotion, as well as some infrastructure projects have been adopted as priorities.
The prime minister announced that the Commission meetings will be held monthly to determine progress on each of the approved priorities.
