On New Year's Eve traffic in centre of Chisinau municipality restricted

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ – On New Year's Eve, starting at 18:00, the road traffic will be restricted in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN), section between streets A. Puskin and Mitropolit G. Banulescu – Bodoni, in connection with performance of concert New Year 2019 – 2020.

In this context, police recommend drivers to avoid perimeter of event, opt for parking in adjacent area, drive with maximum care when passing the pedestrian groups, obey directions and recommendations of patrol officers and not to drive under influence of alcoholic beverages.

The pedestrians also have warnings from police. They are obliged to move only on sidewalks, cross the street through specially arranged and signaled places or to green light of traffic lights.

During the winter holidays over 3,000 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) will be involved in measures to ensure public order (OP).
