Canada back reforms' agenda of current governance of Moldova

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - The deepening of the bilateral relations in diverse spheres of mutual interest, backing by the Ottawa authorities of the Moldovan government’s reforms’ agenda, as well as the attraction of Canadian investments in Moldova were among the subjects discussed at a today’s meeting between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and Bucharest-based Ambassador of Canada to Moldova Kevin Hamilton.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service, the officials highlighted the common interest in the deepening of the bilateral relations in the political, commercial and economic fields.
Minister Aureliu Ciocoi stressed the Moldovan authorities’ wish to advance the bilateral dialogue with Canada, as well as diversify the cooperation on various sectors.
For his part, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton emphasized the support of his country for the agenda of reforms of the current Moldovan governance.
At the same time, the sides exchanged opinions on the regional security context, as well as the process of Moldova’s European integration.
