Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency earmarks about 40 million dollars for projects in Moldova in last years

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Moldova, Selda Özdenoğlu, the presidential press service has reported.
The sides discussed aspects of the bilateral cooperation. Igor Dodon thanked the Turkish side for the financial and technical assistance provided to Moldova through TIKA, which has earmarked about 40 million dollars for the implementation of more projects in the country.
At the same time, the Turkish agency’s coordinator highly appreciated the Moldovan president’s visit to Ankara and the agreements reached at the visit.
In the context, the interlocutors discussed priorities for 2020. Igor Dodon said that more initiatives of cooperation in the social field, health, education, domestic affairs sectors, etc. had been already launched. Also, the head of state asked the Turkish partners to consider possibility to back the implementation of the presidential programme on the construction of sports complexes in rural settlements of Moldova.
