Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu today sent a congratulatory message to the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Moldova, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
"Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Since 2014, on 17 January, Diplomat's Day is celebrated in the Republic of Moldova.
Being a diplomat is more a mission than a profession, a mission that involves a lot of research, a lot of patriotism and a lot of dedication.
Moldova is a young state and all national public institutions are young. However, the Diplomatic Service is one of the youngest institutions, given that the other structures existed at the republican and Soviet times, but the diplomacy only existed at the central level.
For this reason, the merits of the founders of the Diplomatic Service must be particularly appreciated.
Diplomats represent the face of the country and usually through the spirit and education of the diplomats, the Moldovan partners perceive our country.
Thank you for your professional and wise performance, which has always played an important role in building and maintaining good relations with the country's external partners.
We continue to rely on your professionalism, involvement and dedication in processes vital to the national economy, such as attracting investments and industrializing the country.
I use this opportunity to thank you for your work and to wish you health, prosperity and great professional achievements ”.
