Infrastructure development as priority to government - Moldovan PM says

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/- Road construction, water and sewerage supply, solid waste management, street lighting and other sectors related to infrastructure development remain priority issues for the government and were discussed at the traditional meeting on Monday morning, with the participation of the president, speaker and prime minister.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu referred to the beginning of the implementation of infrastructure rehabilitation projects, including the launching of competitions for the construction and repair of national roads, water supply project of several localities in Hâncești and Leova districts etc. According to the official, the competitions must be completed by March, adding that they will be transparent and fair.
Also, Ion Chicu said that several topics on the government agenda will be discussed on 22 January, when a meeting with all mayors in the country will be held in Chisinau.
In particular, the prime minister referred to the reform of the activity system of the sector policemen. "This week we launched the process of developing a comprehensive program to strengthen the status and functions of the police officers of sector, which will be completed by 15 February. The criminal situation in the country remains worrying, and without increasing the efficiency of the sector policemen, who must know and interact with every citizen in the sector, changing things in this regard is unlikely ”, he said.
The joint meeting of the country's president, speaker and prime minister is held every Monday morning, during which the Moldovan top officials assess the events of the past week and adopt an agenda for the next one.
