Moldovan parliament gave up plastic bottles

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/- The Moldovan parliament has given up plastic bottles this year. The decision will bring an economy of about 100 thousand lei annually from public money, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Further, the water will be distributed free of charge through water dispensers on the halls, committees, factions and plenary sessions of parliament. At the same time, the plastic glasses will be replaced with cardboard glasses.
These measures, in addition to the institution's contribution to reducing pollution, also bring immediate savings of public money, because it will take metered water, without throwing half-full bottles.
