Japanese Ambassador to Moldova awarded Order of Honor

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon on 20 January had a farewell meeting with Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Masanobu Yoshii, the presidential press service has reported.
Igor Dodon welcomed the expansion of Moldovan-Japanese relations in recent years in all areas of common interest and thanked the diplomat for the attitude and responsibility.
Also, the head of state noted that due to its activity, Japan has become the third largest assistance partner, after the EU and the USA. Dodon pointed out that thanks to Masanobu Yoshii's contribution, over 20 important projects were implemented in areas such as: agriculture, education, health, business environment and so on. "Assistance was provided in the endowment of the National Library, the modernization of the infrastructure of the fire stations, the modernization of the hospitals in rural areas, jobs creation, etc.", he said.
Dodon opted for the strengthening of mutually advantageous cooperation, expressing interest in attracting Japanese investments in the Moldovan economy.
The head of state wished the diplomat success in his further activity, expressing confidence that with the appointment of the new ambassador the positive dynamics of the collaboration relations will continue.
Finally, as a sign of deep gratitude for the significant contribution to the development and strengthening of Moldovan-Japanese friendship and cooperation and support in social-economic actions in the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon has given the Order of Honor to Masanobu Yoshii.
