Moldovan government increases salaries of medical employees by ten per cent

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan government, at a today’s meeting, approved a decision, thereby increasing by ten per cent the salaries for the employees of the medical and sanitary institutions from the mandatory health insurances system.
Under the cabinet’s decision, the physicians, the medium and lower medical staff, the administrative and economic staff, as well as the leadership personnel from the public medical and sanitary institutions will benefit from the salary increase.
The decision will enter into force on 1 April 2020.
About 50,000 employees of the medical system will benefit from higher salaries, with 300 million lei provided for on this purpose.
