Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, in his speech given at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) today in Strasbourg, said that the justice reform should be taken out of the area of political debates.
„The biggest real threat to the state’s security is the domestic one. It is real, not geopolitical. It is the one against which none government has early fought so far: corruption. To carry out the justice reform, it must be taken out of the zone of political discussions,” Dodon said.
The head of state noted that the subject of corruption was on the agenda of each meeting of the Supreme Security Council (CSS) and that it was the reason for the deep reforms in the justice sector.
Dodon stressed that Moldova’s transformation was an irreversible process; yet, it is possible only in conditions of political and economic stability, through the proper work of the democratic institutions.
