About 40 special vehicles involved in snow removal in Chisinau

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/- A number of 37 special machines were trained last night for snow removal in Chisinau.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban noted that the praetors still monitor the roads in Chisinau. "There are still sidewalks on which non-slip material is to be sprinkled", he said.

During the night of 6 to 7 February, 37 special machines were involved in the works and 274 tons of non-slip material sprinkled.

31 special machines were involved in removing the icy sidewalks, 400 workers were involved in manual snow removal and 4.5 tons of anti-slip equipment was sprinkled.

The State Hydrometeorological Service has announced orange code of strong wind, blizzard and icy roads on 6-7 February.
