Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - No case of coronavirus has been recorded in Moldova so far.
Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu today said that no case of coronavirus had been registered in Moldova. “The tests from Germany allow us detecting the presence of coronavirus in several hours,” the official stressed.
The minister noted that two tests for detecting this virus had been applied till present. “We had several suspect cases and I thank those citizens who quite openly told us from what regions they are coming; this fact allowed us verifying the situation and excluding the infection,” Dumbraveanu said.
“We have two types of tests – one for determining the coronavirus and a test for confirmation. Today, these tests were applied and I want to say that we already have the answer on behalf of the laboratory of the National Public Health Agency; they are efficient and in several hours, we can establish exactly whether we have coronavirus or not,” Dumbraveanu said.
At present, there are five packages with 96 tests each for detecting coronavirus and two packages with 96 tests each for confirmation.
