Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet has approved a decision which provides for the regulation of prices for medical masks, gloves and disinfectants. The list of social products imported was completed with these three positions, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Now, pharmacists and economic agents will not be able to apply a trade markup higher than 20 per cent for these products. As for the bread and fancy bread – the trade markup cannot exceed 10 per cent.
The government decision, approved at a meeting on 26 February, is a measure of social protection, given that more drug stores have lately considerably increased the prices for medical masks, in connection with the evolution of the Coronavirus epidemic in the region.
Last time, the list of important social products was revised in 2016. Sixteen products are in the new list: bread, fancy bread, milk, kefir, cow cheese, cream, butter, sunflower oil, wheat flour, rice, buckwheat, cereals, preparations for newly-born children and children, medicinal masks, gloves and disinfectants.
