Two more people died of COVID-19 in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/- Two more people have died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, thus the number of deaths reaches 23. So far, Moldova has registered 1,056 cases of infection, of which 114 are of import and 942 with local transmission. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement on 7 April.
In serious condition there are 111 persons, average gravity 328 persons. “Unfortunately, we have two new cases of death. It is about a 71-year-old man from Cahul and a 62-year-old from Glodeni. Both were admitted to the Institute of Urgent Medicine in a very serious condition”, she said.
The official said that today will ask for placing under quarantine Talmaza locality, Stefan Voda district, where 29 cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus have been registered.
Dumbraveanu noted that today a batch of assistance from China to our country will reach Kiev airport.
On 17 March-15 May, state of emergency is declared in Moldova. Several localities in Ștefan Vodă, Hâncești and Soroca were under quarantine, the exits and entrances from these locations being blocked.
