Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/ - The public institution, Centre of Information Technologies in Finances (CTIF), as centre of registrations of the government’s single certification centre, today informed that it had extended up to two years the validity term of the electronic signatures which they issue. So far, CTIF has been issuing electronic signatures valid for only one year.
The director of the institution, Vitalie Coceban, said that the opportunity to get the electronic signature for a two-year period was more advantageous for applicants from the viewpoint of the costs, as well as of the need to renew it. ‘’Starting from 8 April, people interested can request, if necessary, the issuance of the electronic signature for a term of one or two years,’’ Coceban said.
The holders of electronic signatures are to prolong them once in two years and not once in one year, as it has been till present.
The electronic signature, issued by CTIF for the signing of electronic documents, is equivalent with the holograph signature for the documents on paper. The electronic signature allows access through the governmental platforms MPass and MSign to all electronic services available and the authentication of the electronic documents, ensuring the addressee of the sender’s identify and of the document’s integrity.
CTIF issues to applicants, upon request, the package ‘’electronic signature’’, which contains the certificate of public key and the device of creating the electronic signature (stick eToken), with the providing of consultancy and technical support services to clients on the entire period of use of the electronic signature.
