Village from south-east Moldova district enters quarantine regime

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Talmaza village from the south-eastern Stefan Voda district will enter the quarantine regime on 9 April at 8:00, under a today’s Instruction by the National Commission for Emergency Situations.
„Because of the fact that we have already 29 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Talmaza, the settlement will be in quarantine starting from 9 April, with all restrictions related to this regime,’’ Prime Minister Ion Chicu said after the Commission’s meeting.
The Talmaza village will be the third settlement from the Stefan Voda district, where, besides the district centre and the Carahasani village, the quarantine regime was established.
Ion Chicu also informed that the quarantine regime had been lifted in the Sofia and Balceana villages, Hancesti district. ‘’During 14 days, no case of infection with coronavirus has been recorded in these villages. I want to thank the people who proved understanding and discipline,’’ Chicu noted.
Under the regulations, the quarantine period ends in 14 days, if no case of infection with COVID-19 is identified.
