Moldovan PM chairs meeting of Single Command Centre for management of emergency state

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today led an online meeting of the Single Command Centre for the management of the emergency state. The leaders of the authorities and structures involved in the management of the epidemiological situation informed about the evolution of the processes and effects of the measured undertaken, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Interior Minister Pavel Voicu informed about the involvement of 7,274 Interior Ministry (MAI) employees in the process of management of the epidemiological situation. As many as 6,236 self-isolated people were verified. A number of 2,319 people entered Moldova; 947 came from Romania, 1,142 - from Ukraine, of whom 18 came from Poland by bus. Forty five calls were received, through which the infringement of the self-isolation regime was notified and 49 official reports were compiled.
Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu informed that, following the investigation of 598 samples, 122 cases of infection with COVID-19 had been confirmed. One case is of import and 121 – with local transmission.
Most patients infected with COVID-19 are in Glodeni – 24, Chisinau – 23, Soroca district – 8 cases, Cahul and Falesti districts – 7 cases each. Twenty cases of infection were confirmed in districts from the left bank of Dniester.
A 62-year-old patient died. Seventy five people have been treated of coronavirus so far and 39,131 people are under monitoring.
Ion Chicu thanked the medical employees involved in the management of the epidemiological situation, policemen, servicemen, carabineers, customs inspectors and border policemen for involvement and dedication.
