ANTA sanctioned car carriers violating provisions of Commission for Emergencies

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/- The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) took action on the inconveniences created to our compatriots in the performance by some local and Czech road transport operators of the repatriation flights on Paris - Chisinau not authorized by the Commission for Emergencies, sources ANTA said.

Thus, the Agency inspectors checked the road passenger transport operations, carried out by two carriers, which on the morning of 29 April were boarding people in the area adjacent to the checkpoint of the state border Leușeni - Albița.

"As a result of the verifications carried out jointly with the representatives of the National Patrol Inspectorate, two drivers, representatives of the transport companies, were sanctioned according to the Contravention Code for the illicit transport of persons in national traffic, being fined 250 and 300 u.c. (12500 - 15000 lei), with the suspension of the right to use the road vehicle for a period of six months, by withholding the plates with the registration number and the registration certificate ", ANTA said.

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure also sent a request to the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic requesting the necessary measures against a Czech carrier, which contrary to international road transport legislation, embarked Moldovan citizens to fly to Paris- Albita. Subsequently, the transport operator's buses with 240 Moldovan citizens were stopped by the German authorities.

The Agency warns road transport operators that road transport of persons in international traffic by regular, special, occasional and taxi services without the authorization of the Commission for Emergencies will be sanctioned with suspension of registration for up to three months or deletion from the Register of road transport operators.
