Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Romanian counterpart

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea today had a meeting with Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, on visit to Chisinau on the occasion of a medical assistance provided to Moldova to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
Minister Oleg Tulea thanked the Romanian side for the valuable support provided to Moldova, referring to the detaching to Moldova of a group of physicians and medical staff from Romania, as well as to the conveying of a significant donation of medication and sanitary materials needed in the context of the challenges triggered by the epidemiological situation in Moldova and treatment of patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The two ministers discussed measures adopted, in the context of the spread of the coronavirus infection, as well as ways of interaction to diminish the impact and the consequences caused by the pandemic.
In the context of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the declaration on the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between Moldova and Romania for Moldova’s European Integration, Oleg Tulea and Bogdan Aurescu reaffirmed the joint commitment for strengthening the bilateral Strategic Partnership, including through the deepening of the cooperation in all sectors and extension of the area of projects, meant to back the implementation of the reforms’ agenda and enhance the level of well-being and safety of Moldova’s citizens.
