Moldovan interior minister confirmed positive COVID-19

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Internal Affairs Pavel Voicu announced today on social networks that he was confirmed positive COVID-19. He is in self-isolation at home.

"To prevent false information in media, I want to confirm that following the testing for the new virus infection, yesterday I was positively confirmed with a mild form of COVID-19", he said.

He said he had not been hospitalized and was in self-isolation at home, his health condition was satisfactory.

"I assure you that this does not influence in any way the activities of the Ministry, all processes are under control, and state secretaries and heads of arms are responsible for each area," he said.
