Moldovan Single Command Centre of emergency state holds meeting

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired a meeting of the Single Command Centre of the emergency state. The participants in the event heard reports of the public authorities and institutions involved in the management of the epidemiological situation as to the measures undertaken in this respect, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The Interior Ministry (MAI) informed that MAI employees ensured the process of monitoring the observance of the regime of self-isolation by more than18,800 people.
The Border Police have registered the entrance of 1,448 people in Moldova.
The police, carabineers and National Army servicemen patrol public places, in order to supervise the observance of the requirements of social distancing and prevention of the infection’s spread.
Presently, quarantine regime is maintained in eight settlements: Soroca municipality, Stefan Voda town, Talmaza village, Stefan Voda district, Glodeni town, Branzeni village, Edinet district, settlements Etulia and Cismichioi from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Valea Perjei from Cimislia district.
The prime minister demanded that the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations presents information on the effects of the rains and hail from the last days.
As many as 21,143 people have been tested for COVID-19 since the beginning of the epidemic and 4,248 infection cases were confirmed.
A number of 1,423 people infected with the new coronavirus have been treated so far and 128 people died.
