Chisinsau, 7 May /MOLDPRES/- Constitutional Court judge Eduard Ababei will not participate in considering the case on the loan of 200 million euros from Russia, as he is relative to Minister of Finance Sergiu Pușcuța, involved in negotiations with the Russian side.
Eduard Ababei requested to be accepted the request for abstention from examining the case, as he is brother-in-law of Pușcuța. Ababei says he took the decision "to remove suspicion of impartiality voiced in public."
At the same time, the Constitutional Court did not accept the request for recusal from MP Vasile Bolea, asking that judge Nicolae Roșca not participate in the examination of the case. Parliament representative in the process Vasile Bolea said that Nicolae Roșca is former member of the Action and Solidarity Party and may not show impartiality in judging the process.
The Court examines today the constitutionality of the 200-million-euro credit agreement from the Russian Federation, based on three notifications. It is about the notification submitted by MP of Pro Moldova parliamentary group Sergiu Sîrbu, PAS MP Sergiu Litvinenco and by DA Platform MP Dinu Plîngău.
