Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - A large quantity of water was overflown from the reservoir of the Dubasari-based hydro-electric power station on the night of 8 to 9 May; thus, the ferryboat which makes connection between the settlements Molovata, Molovata Noua and Cocieri cannot be exploited, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic, jointly with the Reintegration Policies Bureau immediately took note to interpellations by the local public administration and called upon the Transnistrian side, asking to ensure the movement on the Dubasari bridge for the deliveries of essential food products to the settlements Molovata Noua, Cocieri and Corjova.
„I had discussions with representatives of the local public authorities, in order to collect facts about the present situation and I notified the OSCE Mission in Moldova on this case. The freedom of movement is one of the principal agreements within the Berlin+ Package and we insist on its implementation,’’ Cristina Lesnic said.
The Reintegration Policies Bureau remains in touch with all actors interested, in order to settle this situation as soon as possible.
