As many as 4,867 people infected with COVID-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 4,867 cases of infection with the new Coronavirus have been recorded in Moldova so far, of which 602 – on the left bank of Dniester.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 256 people infected are in serious condition, 16 are connected to assisted breathing and 400 persons are hospitalized in a medium serious condition.

MSMPS said that 1,176 cases of infection among health system employees had been confirmed till today, of whom: 283 physicians, 428 medical assistants, 63 doctor’s assistants, one para-physician, 18 pharmacists, 383 people of the auxiliary staff.

At the same time, another three deaths triggered by the COVID-19 infection have been registered in the last 24 hours; thus, the number of dead people reached 164.

Thirty three people were discharged on 9 May and there are 1,958 people treated of COVID in all.
