ANOFM received donation from Switzerland, UNDP Moldova

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/- The Swiss Cooperation Office, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program of Moldova, provided the necessary protection equipment against COVID-19 to the National Employment Agency and 35 territorial subdivisions.

In the context of the epidemiological situation in Moldova and the risk of becoming infected with the new coronavirus, ANOFM employees and territorial subdivisions were provided with the necessary protective equipment, according to a statement of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Thus, a batch of 5,000 pairs of gloves, over 400 liters of disinfectant, 400 visors, as well as 40 thermometers for remote temperature monitoring was distributed in all territorial subdivisions.

The equipment was purchased with the support of Switzerland and UNDP Moldova under the project Migration and local development.

In this context, ANOFM head Raisa Dogaru said that crisis situations represent the test of social solidarity: “This help is proof that in this ongoing fight against the virus, the employees of the National Employment Agency have support to take measures to limiting the spread of the epidemic and carrying out activity in appropriate conditions, providing citizens with the services they need ”.

The equipment will help protect ANOFM employees who provide services in examining and resolving citizens' applications for establishing the right to unemployment benefits, provided in order to support the unemployed population during the emergency.
