Moldovan electoral body establishes monthly quantum of state budget subsidies for 2020 meant for political parties

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, reestablished the monthly quantum of state budget subsidies for 2020 meant for the political parties. Thus, the political parties will receive 31,203,800.00 lei this year.
According to CEC, the quantum of the sum left to this end on the period 25 April – 31 December 2020 is of 19,115,778.23 lei, which is distributed till the end of this year.
Under the legal provisions, the quantum of subsidies is distributed as follows: 30 per cent – proportionally to the performances got at the parliamentary elections; 30 per cent – proportionally to the performances achieved at the general local polls; 15 per cent – proportionally to the performances got at the presidential polls; 7.5 per cent – proportionally to the women effectively elected at the parliamentary elections; 7.5 per cent – proportionally to the women effectively elected at the local polls; 5 per cent – proportionally to the young people effectively elected at the parliamentary elections and 5 per cent – proportionally to the young people effectively elected at the local polls.
Thus, in line with the decision by the Central Electoral Commission, the quantum of the monthly subsidy for each validly expressed vote at the parliamentary polls from 24 February 2029 is 0.2565246 lei; for each validly expressed vote at the general local elections from 20 October 2019 is 0.2410846 lei; for each validly expressed vote at the presidential elections from 30 October 2016 is 0.2520797 lei; for each woman effectively elected at the general local polls from 20 October 2019 is 42.4470588 lei; for each young person effectively elected at the general local elections from 20 October 2019 amounts to 69.0110262 lei.
The subsidies allocated from the state budget will be monthly transferred for the period 25 April – 31 December 2020 on the bank accounts opened on this purpose by the political parties, except for the Shor Party, which is destitute of subsidies under a CEC decision from 4 March 2020.
