Problems faced by Moldova's tourism industry discussed at government

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today discussed problems faced by the companies specialized in the providing of tourist services. The restrictions imposed by the emergency situation established in Moldova and most countries hit by the epidemic affected the tourist industry and hindered the fulfillment of more commitments.  

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, Ion Chicu informed the tourist companies about the cabinet’s intention to support their  capacity of crediting through providing of state guarantees worth up to 50 per cent of the needed security and subsidization of interests.  

The participants in the meeting tackled issues on tourist destinations in Moldova and possibilities of resuming some services provided by them. On the days to come, the government will consider a string of measures to this effect.
