Moldovan premier summons meeting on subject of industrialization

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today summoned a meeting on the subject of Moldova’s industrialization. The participants in the meeting discussed ways of attracting industrial investors and the current investment opportunities in Moldova’s districts, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The manager of the Balti-based Industrial Zone, Marin Ciobanu, referred to the creation of 16 industrial platforms in Moldova and the experience gained in attracting industrial investors. At present, decision-makers clarify the fit locations for the establishment of industrial platforms and discuss with local authorities.
The participants in the meeting discussed the creation of an innovation, research and development park, due to be specialized in the designing and testing of solutions, especially for the automotive industry. The park will provide opportunities of growth and personal development for Moldovan engineers and researchers and will stimulate the country’s industrial development.
The PM asked to work out a detailed action plan, with concrete and responsible terms. ‘’We will go to investors and we must have as many arguments as possible to persuade them to invest in Moldova. We will inform all development partners about our intentions and facilities we offer. Moldova can be an opportunity of development practically for any industry,’’ Ion Chicu said.
