Moldovan foreign affairs minister has phone conversation with counterpart from Malta

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - The present stage of the Moldovan-Maltese relations and possibilities of deepening the dialogue between the two states were discussed at a today’s phone conversation between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea and his Maltese counterpart Evarist Bartolo, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
Minister Oleg Tulea thanked for the support provided by Malta for Moldova’s European integration. He reiterated the priority attached by Moldova to the European integration and strengthening the Eastern Partnership (EaP). In the context, the Moldovan diplomacy head reiterated the interest to adopt an ambitious agenda for the future, on the occasion of the EaP’s Summit.
At the same time, Oleg Tulea thanked Minister Bartolo for the Maltese donation of medical protection equipment provided to Moldova, as well as for the valuable support on behalf of the European Union, in order to cover the immediate needs and overcome the long-term economic and social consequences triggered by the global epidemiological crisis.
The officials also welcomed the excellent cooperation within international organizations and reiterated willingness to consolidate this dialogue in continuation.
