Deadline for paying wealth tax for 2020 - 28 December

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) has completed issuing payment notices for taxpayers who are required to pay wealth tax. This year, given that 25 December is day-off, the deadline for payment is 28 December 2020.

Wealth tax is applied to the wealth of private people as real estate for residential use and holiday homes (except land) meeting the following conditions: the total estimated value is 1.5 million lei and more and the total area is 120 m2 and more.

The State Tax Service urges taxpayers to pay the wealth tax to the budget by 28 December 2020. At the same time, the institution reiterates that the wealth tax can be paid online, through service Mpay.

If the wealth tax is not be paid by 28 December 2020, for each day of delay the penalty worth 0.0329% per day will be applied.
