As many as 140 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 6,200 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 140 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 9 import ones. As many as 261,947 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two cases are among medical employees.

As many as 450 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 81 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,002 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,566 are under supervision at home.

Another 187 people have been treated. As many as 253,891 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of three other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,304.
