Ungheni, Cahul regions of Moldova have own visual properties

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Cahul and Ungheni regions have their own visual identities. This is a first ever initiative for Moldova, developed with the European Union’s financial assistance within the programme, EU4Moldova: Key Regions.
„The key element of the territorial marketing is the eloquent and captivating visual identity, which can become cultural interface of a region. To this extent, the work carried out within the programme, EU4Moldova: Key Regions, is certainly impressive. The new brand, development with EU support, is the result of the co-creation and a strong commitment on behalf of the people from the key regions, which will enhance even more the regions’ potential,’’ a representative of the European Union Delegation to Moldova, Magdalena Mueller-Uri, said.
The new logos provide distinct identifies for both regions and enhances their competitiveness in attracting tourists, investments, new companies, increasing of exports, promotion on the external stage and, not in the least, attraction of human capital. The brands of the Ungheni and Cahul regions is meant for use both for urban and rural settlements from the two regions, economic agents, public institutions, associative sector and the people who love Ungheni and Cahul.
„With the creation of their own brands, the Cahul and Ungheni regions will provide to residents and visitors a distinct, single and memorable benchmark, which describes their lifestyle, reputation and way they want to be perceived. We believe that this will be, to the same extent, an attractive instrument for developing business, as well as for engrafting the feeling of pride and affiliation of the people from these regions,’’ Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Moldova Dima Al-Khatib said.
The programme, EU4Moldova: Key Regions (2019-2024) supports the intelligent, ecological, inclusive and sustainable social and economic development in the regions Cahul and Ungheni, in order to ensure a better lifestyle for the citizens. The programme’s overall budget is of 23 million euros; it is financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and the United Nations Children’s Fund.
