Debtors not to be able to be evacuated from homes in Moldova on cold period of year

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - The debtor could not be evacuated from home on the cold period of the year, if he/she does not have another home to move in. The parliament today adopted, in the first reading, a draft on amendment of the enforcement code – an initiative legislative by the head of state.
The document establishes that the debtor – owner of the real estate – will not be able to be evacuated from home during the declaring of the state of emergency, of siege or war, as well as if emergency state in the public health sector is declared.
At the same time, the draft proposes to extend the list of assets and incomes of the debtor, which cannot be followed. Among them, there are personal assets or household appliances, including furniture, provided that the value of each asset does not exceed the sum of 5,000 lei. Also, the list was completed with the assets of the debtor’s children, religious cult objects, wedding rings or other objects with sentimental or personal value.
Moreover, if the debtor is farmer, competent bodies cannot follow the food products needed till the new harvest, the animals meant for getting subsistence means and the fodder necessary for these animals till the new harvest.
The parliament also changed the procedure of forced evacuation of the real estate.
