Moldovan parliamentary delegation attends PABSEC meeting

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/- A parliamentary delegation participates in the 46th meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC). The event takes place in Bucharest on 25-27 November, the parliament’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The delegation is made up of MPs Marcel Raducan, Vladimir Turcan and Nae-Simion Plesca.
The participants in the meeting will be welcomed by PABSEC Chairman-in-Office Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, Romanian Senate Speaker.
The debates will focus on the issue related to the implementation of sustainable development goals in BSEC region: parliamentary involvement.
The sides will discuss and approach reports and recommendations by the three specialised commissions of PABSEC. The commission on political and legal affairs will submit a report on setting up the legal framework for combating corruption – role of parliaments. The commission on economic, technological and environment affairs will consider a report on e-government in BSEC member states.
At the end of the meeting, according to the rotation principle, Romania will transmit PABSEC chairmanship to Russia.
The Moldovan parliament held PABSEC chairmanship in the first half of 2015.
