Russian federal service inspects Moldovan nurseries to grow planting material for export to Russia

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ – A group of experts from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Rosselhoznadzor is on a mission to Moldova to inspect nurseries for export to the Russian Federation.
A press release from the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) states that experts will inspect the place where the seedlings are produced by sampling. On the first day they made a visit to Briceni district, where are most of the nurseries for growing orchard and planting material.
The farmers of Russia are interested in working with Moldovan nurseries that have increasing production and export potential for propagating material, and farmers in Russia are focusing on expanding orchards.
For a week, experts from Russia are to inspect 25 agricultural farms from different regions of Moldova, then submit the investigation results and grant of export rights to enterprises that meet the requirements and standards for growing grafted trees and grape cuttings.
It is to mention that soon, at ANSA’s invitation, another group of Rosselhoznadzor’s experts will arrive to Moldova. They want to document the growing crop production processes in plantations of economic agents that intend to export fruits, grapes and vegetables, in line with international practice, to the Russian market.
