Moldovan foreign minister receives Austrian ambassador

Chisinau, 06 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister. Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, received Ambassador of Austria to Moldova Christine Freilinger today, in the context of preparations for the informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE participating states on 11 July 2017 in Mauerbach, Austria.
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur welcomed the initiative of the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship to organize the meeting, while expressing hope that it would provide a suitable platform for relevant discussions on the issue of the most current matters on the international agenda regarding the challenges to European security and the practical modes to face them.
At her part, the Austrian Ambassador appreciated the willingness of the head of Moldovan diplomacy to attend the ministerial meeting in Mauerbach, which became a traditional one, to which over thirty foreign ministers already announced their intention to participate. Additionally, she reported on the visit to Tiraspol of the Austrian parliamentary delegation, in which they advocated for a more viable identification of a viable political solution for the Transnistrian problem in negotiation format "5+2" in line with the relevant decisions adopted by OSCE.
