Moldovan, Emirian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/- The authorities of the United Arab Emirates welcome the necessary steps by the Moldovan government to open a diplomatic mission to Abu Dhabi, which will further lead to the development of the Moldovan-Emirian relations. United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheik Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan made the statement at a meeting with Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media relations service has reported.

In this context, Sheik Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated the active involvement of the Moldovan diplomat in strengthening and revitalizing both bilateral relations and the Arab Gulf states.

The sides reiterated the importance of boosting bilateral dialogue in mutually advantageous areas, such as – development of economic exchanges and intensification of social and cultural relations in the context of the abolition by the Moldovan government of the visa regime for EAU citizens etc.

In this context, Ulianovschi pointed out the need to continue cooperation in the civil aviation, and to launch negotiations on increasing legal protection of Moldovan citizens working in the United Arab Emirates.

Ulianovschi pays a working visit to the United Arab Emirates on 26-29 March.
