Moldova, USA interested in cooperating in air transport sector

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ – Moldova and the United States of America wish to establish cooperation relations in the field of air transport. In this regard, the Moldovan government approved initiation of negotiations on the draft agreement between two governments, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The document regulates principles of operation of bilateral air services, including rules on aviation security, certificates and fees of airworthiness and competence. Its signing will allow for creation of a single air transport market between Moldova and USA, facilitating unrestricted investments and provision of air services, including tariffs.

Thus, the Agreement will create premises for diversification of destinations in Chisinau International Airport. Currently, no national airline operates flights to USA.
