List of activities able to be carried out in Moldova's IT parks to be extended

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved amendments and completions to the law on parks for information technology, in order to motivate the innovative entrepreneurship and develop the human capital.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the draft sees extension of the list of activities due to be able to be carried out at IT parks, including for the ones of research and innovation based on the information technology, as well as on training in the field.
Another completion regards the exemption of IT park’s residents from the payment of customs duties and the value added tax (VAT) for the equipments and softs needed for the carrying out of the resident companies’ work. Also, procedures of verifying the financial situation of the parks’ residents are cleared up.
The first park for information technology in Moldova, Moldova IT Park, started working on 1 January 2018. Presently, the park has over 130 residents.
