Action plan for implementation of Moldova – EU association agreement to be updated

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ – Following implementation of the central public administration reform and approval of new Association Agenda with EU on 04 August 2018, there will be updated the National Action Plan for implementation of the EU – Moldova Association Agreement in 2017 – 2019. A decision to this effect was approved by the Government today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The updated plan encompasses priorities of the new Association Agenda and clearly sets out tasks of the institutions in charge for implementing actions, within redistribution of competences determined by central public administration reform.

Also, necessary measures for implementation of Association Agreement during three years, there are similarly provided measures for adjusting national legislation to European standards and principles alongside with undertaken commitments.

The financial resources needed to carry out all actions will be provided in the national budget and in Expenditures’ mid – term framework. Moldova will also benefit from EU assistance and its development partners.

As a result of the actions included in the document, Moldova will advance the achievement of political association and gradual economic integration into the EU market.
