Chisinau, 03 April /MOLDPRES/ – The patriotic spirit and value of the national elements are felt more strongly in institutions with teaching in Romanian on the left bank of the Dniester, you can give us lessons of patriotism to everyone, said Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, at the meeting with pupils of schools with teaching in Romanian on left bank of the Dniester and Bender city today, who are visiting Parliament together with their teachers, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
"We want to see you more often so we can visit you and discuss most burning problems you face. I want to encourage you to stay as fighters as you have always been and know that you are appreciated by us, you are our heroes," said Andrian Candu. We are a country and you are citizens with same rights as colleagues from the right bank of the Dniester, said the president of the Parliament.
The teachers in Ribnita were delighted to meet Igor Garlea, their disciple, member of Parliament team at present. The pupils and teachers thanked Andrian Candu for invitation and for discussion that was "an hour of fresh air". Most of them were the first time in Parliament and had a guided tour of the building. The Speaker of Parliament provided each school with a set of informative materials about Parliament and legislative process as an additional support for civic education classes.
While pupils were more interested in how Andrian Candu has succeeded in finding a balance between work and family life, Moldova's future, First Home programme and place of info technologies in state development agenda, teachers asked for support to improve workspaces, safe transport of pupils, pension reform and free movement throughout Moldova. The Speaker of Parliament was invited to visit the Latin script – teaching schools in the left bank of the Dniester.
At the invitation of the Speaker of Parliament, 120 pupils and teachers from the Latin script – based schools from the left bank of the Dniester responded.
