Moldovan government approves agreement with United Arab Emirates on economic cooperation

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved and will submit to the parliament for informing the Agreement between the government of Moldova and the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on economic and technical cooperation, signed in Dubai on 30 January 2018, during a visit to the UAE by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
The agreement is concluded for a five-year term and is renewed automatically for successive periods of five years.
By signing the document, the sides agree on setting up a Moldovan-Emirates joint economic commission, which is to identify the fields of cooperation of mutual interest. The commission is also to recommend measures concerning the consolidation of the bilateral economic relations and to contribute to the settlement of obstacles of any difficulty hindering the normal carrying out of the bilateral trade exchanges and the economic and technical cooperation. The commission will convene at alternative sessions in the two states, when necessary.
Moldova has signed 30 such agreements and has created joint economic commissions with 27 countries.
