Chisinau city hall organizes Easter exhibition by children from disadvantaged families

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - An Easter sales exhibition was launched at the Chisinau city hall on 4 April. Objects manufactured by children from disadvantaged families, at risk or without parental care, were displayed at the event.
“The brightest holiday of the year should bring light to all hearts. We organized this exhibition, as we want Easter to warm also the hearts of the children with crueler fate, although these are gifted and dedicated children,” the Chisinau acting general mayor, Silvia Radu, said in the beginning of the event.
The exhibition was initiated and coordinated by the municipal department for the protection of child’s rights, which thus started a string of actions occasioned by the Eastern holidays.
Before Easter, the hall of the Chisinau city hall was put at the disposal of the children who attend the community centres for children and youth, specialized day centres. At the same time, objects made by beneficiaries of the social service, Personal Assistance, professional parental assistance service, as well as by children from placements were also presented at the exhibition.
“All of them are wonderful children, only they have different possibilities. Or, the goal of this exhibition was to promote young talents, providing equal chances and non-discrimination. At the same time, many devoted specialists work at all these specialized institutions and we wanted their not at all easy work to be appreciated,” the acting head of the municipal department for the protection of child’s right, Lucia Caciuc, has said.
The works exhibited were manufactured within those 122 interest circles acting at the community centres for children and youth from Chisinau, attended by 2,531 children, most of whom are from disadvantaged families, as well as from the other services subordinated to the aforementioned department.
Materials needed for the activity of the circles will be bought with the money raised from the sale of works.
