Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/- Brussels already feels that Moldova is in the process of reforms, which makes a decisive contribution to the European path of the country. MEP Norica Nicolai made the statement at a meeting with coordinator of the ruling coalition Vlad Plahotniuc.
Plahotniuc presented to the MEP the strategy of the coalition for 2018 as regards the European integration of Moldova.
“Our strategy is simple: a new pro-European coalition in 2018, securing and developing the country, strengthening partnerships with the EU. I still call for your support in the EU, especially, to talk to the opposition. A new pro-European coalition will ensure continuity of reforms and prevent deviation from the European course. We cannot afford to give up – the country’s development must be above personal pride,” he said.
The European official noted that the autumn election will be a first important step in terms of transparency and democratic elections without Russia’s propaganda influences. Also, Norica Nicolai said that it is important these elections be made as fair as possible, and the future parliament be one dedicated to the continuation of the European path.
Plahotniuc also approached the progress of reform implementation, economic growth Moldova has made over the last two years and the reform of central public administration institutions.
